This piece was inspired by Monterey on California’s coast. Monterey used to be the centre of the sardine fishing industry and this piece gives a small nod to this once thriving industry, part of so many in California’s past. Moss Landing, not far from Monterey, boasts lots of whales and sea life, with Orca, being a main attraction!
